Call for nomination of the 2012 George B. Dantzig Prize
Nominations are solicited for the George B. Dantzig Prize, administered jointly
by the Mathematical Optimization Society (MOS) and the Society for Industrial
and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). This prize is awarded to one or more
individuals for original research which by its originality, breadth and depth,
is having a major impact on the field of mathematical optimization. The
contribution(s) for which the award is made must be publicly available and may
belong to any aspect of mathematical optimization in its broadest sense.
The prize will be presented at the 2012 International Symposium on Mathematical
Programming, to be held August 19-24, 2012, in Berlin, Germany. Past prize
recipients are listed here. The members of the prize committee

Nominations should consist of a letter describing the nominee's qualifications
for the prize, and a current curriculum vitae of the nominee including a list of
